that is how.
and so it has started. it´s day three and there has been a lot of lol´s. sam, and her addiction to google led us to BOBO bar, Manuel Bonilla, Miraflores, Lima. Let us recap, Sam googled LESBIAN BAR LIMA, and this is where we lingered outside nervously for about a minute before we had to buy a pack of fags, 3.5 Nuevo Soles = 1 euro. After alighting one fag, we bypassed that bar to get some dutch courage in an ajoining cerveceria. HAPPY HOUR, which is 24 hores aqui, can get you 4 bottles of beer for 3 euro. DEADLY. Dutch courage gotten we trundled to BOBO. Got a menu and for the first time in Spanish Sam ordered the local liquer, PISCO (similar to a brandy) and cola (not Inca - more on that later). Vickey was proud. We decided to sit in a dark corner. Little did we know that the corner had a bath with a chair in it - photos to follow.
Half way through our first drink we thought it best to go on a pub crawl, that is until a group of 4 other what looked like lesbians walked in. SAM TO VICKEY ´Will we stay for another´ VICKEY TO SAM `Por que no¿`. So we did. The elder of the group approached us and asked us to sit with their group. POR QUE NO¿
We did. As they sipped lightly on their BEER our pisco´s poured freely. DOWN THE HATCH!!! Then we got our in to South American lesbo life. Who knew there was a lesbian film festival in lima this week, Sam and Vickey didn´t...! They do now - more to follow.
As day four beckons we look forward to chowin down in Chinatown, passing out in EL PARQUE and a twenty three hour bus ride from Lima to Cuzco.
